By , September 25, 2017

Lauren Pelon provided a unique program, The Living Roots of Music, at Wings Over Alma on Sunday, September 17th.  Performing music from around the world as well as her own compositions, Pelon played a variety of unusual instruments; some antiques, some reproductions and some modern. Her instruments included archlute, guitar, lute-guitar, lyre, recorders, gemshorns, cornamuse, krummhorn, schreierpfeife, shawm, rackett, pennywhistles, concertina, ocarina, hurdy-gurdy, bowed psaltery, Kiowa courting flute, eagle bone flute, electric wind instrument, MIDI-pedalboard and her voice! To see pictures of these instruments, and learn more about upcoming performances, visit the Lauren Pelon Musique Company site.

The musical program was sponsored by Wings Over Alma and the Alma Public Library.
