Please stop and and say hello! My name is Maria Elliott and I have been in the Midwest since 2008. I am a California transplant, I love all of our seasons (winter included because of the snow, the subzero part I could do without). I have loved visiting and working in libraries all of my life. Fresh out of highschool I became a messenger clerk with the Sherman Oaks Library in Los Angeles County, then transfered to the Canoga Park Library. I filled in at several branches and assisted with volunteering for the Los Angeles downtown Library after the tragic fire. Once I returned to school after a layoff, I worked as a Librarian Assistant at the Pepin Library in Pierce County. I have an Associates degre in Health Information Technology as well as many years of experience working with the public in varies firms. I enjoy helping people find material to read and view as well as referencing the vast options for research material.
I look forward to meeting you!
