Marie Marquardt joined the Alma Public Library December 1999 in the middle of the conversion from card catalog to the online Winnebago Catalog Software. Marie comes from a background in computer operations and problem management analysis. She has training in inspirational children’s art and has written a multicultural childrens’ book. She has worked in tutoring programs for middle-school aged students through adults in alternative education programs. Originally a Mid-western girl, she lived and worked in the Metropolitan Washington DC area for many years before returning to her roots and settling in beautiful Alma on the Mississippi.
Diane Wald grew up in Buffalo City and graduated from C-FC. She attended Winona Technical College in sales and management. Diane is married with two daughters and currently lives with her husband on the family dairy farm.
Diane came to Alma Public Library in 1994 as a library aide. Diane now holds the Library Assistant II position, helping with collection development, story time, checkout counter and is in charge of cataloging.
Diane will be in charge of organizing a teen advisory board for the library.
