Alma Public Library is creating a collection of Kits for Kids that will help daycare providers and other caregivers have fun and educational learning resources at hand!

Public libraries are very involved in creating book kits for children and adults. Many school and public libraries purchase multiple copies of a title and circulate them as a Book Club kit. The Department of Public Instruction’s Resources for Libraries & Lifelong Learning program maintains a list of kits for adults that can be borrowed through interlibrary loan. There are currently 1791 titles on the list!  Book Club Kits

What’s it like to come to a different country – and not know the language or the culture? We’ll discuss The Book of Unknown Americans by Cristina Henríquez on October 15 @1:30 pm at the Alma Public Library.

And Plan for our November 19 meeting (same place/same time) by ordering your copy of Flat Broke with Two Goats: A Memoir by Jennifer McGaha.

“An easy read with a warm tone, like hearing from an old friend, McGaha’s memoir is touching, funny, and hard to put down.” – Booklist
