The Governor’s Safer-at-Home Order will remain in effect until 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2020, or until a superseding order is issued, so the Alma Public Library remains closed until further notice. Like you, we are at home sometimes working with the help of furry assistants!

Alma Public Library Status Update

Dear Alma Public Library Patrons,

According to various news outlets, the Governor has announced this morning a, “Safer at Home Order” will go into effect this week. It will require Wisconsinites to stay at home and will require non-essential workplaces to close so that workers can be at home with their families.

Places that normally serve food such as bars and restaurants may stay open for delivery and curbside pick-up so call your local bar or restaurant before going to get instructions.

Keep in touch with friends and family using available technologies (such as the telephone.)

The Library will continue to follow the news closely. This is a fluid situation and it is likely we will be closed past the April 6th close date we announced initially.

Sincerely,

Library Staff

After thoughtful consideration of unfolding events related to COVID-19 and in an effort to keep our community safe, we have decided to close the Alma Public Library beginning Tuesday March 17 thru Sunday April 5.

We will be open regular hours today (until 7PM) so stop in and load up on reading materials and DVDs. All items will be due back by April 6th. If you have items borrowed through WISCAT our statewide system, we will work with those libraries to manage borrowed items.

The Library plans to reopen on Monday April 6 unless unforeseen circumstances cause a delay in opening.
