Interested in learning fun facts about birds? Environment for the Americas is sponsoring a new Bird Book Club. The online Club is an opportunity to read books, meet the authors, and join others in fun discussions. The group meets once each month on a Thursday for about one hour beginning at 7 p.m. CST. To join, you must register for each session. Links are provided with upcoming titles, and you can purchase the titles yourself, or request them through the Library!
Learn more about birds and share your love for them! You can participate by registering for the session(s) you are interested in here. You can choose to donate but you are not required to do so! Enjoy discussions about our feathery friends.

Thank you to everyone who supported our recent Library Book Sale with your donations.

We had many generous customers!

Thanks also to the individuals who helped set up and tear down the Sale. There were five big tables and boxes and boxes of books and stuff to organize. You helped to make the event more enjoyable and eye-catching!

Alma Public Library along with other libraries in the Winding Rivers Library System created a postcard campaign earlier this year in support of public libraries in Wisconsin.

We had a great response to the “Libraries Step Up” campaign from our library users! Postcards were sent to Representative Treig Pronschinske and Senator Jeff Smith. Writers were thankful for the library services offered in Alma.

Thank you for your support, and we’ll see you at the Library!

Thanks to a 2020 Institute of Museum and Library Services – Cares Grant, the Library’s WIFI has been extended to the parking lot north of City Hall. The public parking lot is adjacent to Mississippi Lock and Dam number 4, and the pedestrian overpass. The WIFI signal, which also extends across the street in front of the Library, is available 24 hours/365 days each year.
