Meet Libby. Did you know that Alma Public Library has access to thousands of ebooks and audiobooks? You can borrow them, instantly, for free, using just the device in your hand.

Go ahead.  Give it a try!

1. Fish out your library card
2. Open the Libby app: Download the App
3. Find your local library system – Winding Rivers Library System
4. Search, sample, borrow, enjoy

It takes just a few taps to find and borrow a book. Libby has a ground-breaking built-in ebook reader, and a beautiful audiobook player. If you prefer, you can send books to your Kindle for reading (not Kindle Fire – yet!)

If you like Libby, keep using it.  If you don’t, you can continue to use the Overdrive software you are already familiar with. Here’s the site to download the other app: Older OverDrive App for E-Books

Sharing Cleaning up in the Kitchen just got better for 3 lucky Library folks! Faye from Fountain City has been busy buying dish towels and creating the cloths to match. Faye is really like a library Fairy, making little presents, then leaving them at the Library for others to enjoy.  What a nice surprise to pick out a little gift that has been left anonymously! Faye really loves doing handwork, and sharing her creations with others in the community. Pictured here are 3 sets that Faye created.  In cooler months, Faye knits children’s scarves to give to Charity.

We will be breaking in a new helper this season; an HP Officejet Pro 8630 color printer for use by patrons and staff!

The new user friendly printer will replace two small Kodak printers that are now in use. It will print two-sided copies easily, and will provide reliable color printing from staff and public computers, though the black and white HP printer that is currently in use will be the default for all print jobs.Making a Friend Behind the Counter
